Not sure why but this restaurant was right next door to my camping site in a very suburban residential area in Port Macquarie. However it is definitely worth seeking out. I ate twice here and both breakfast meals were of the highest quality and so tasty. Local residents are very lucky to have this restaurant on their doorstep.

We made reservations for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is bright and coastal inside. I recommend the steak or the fish and chips. Both dishes were outstanding. The entire experience and surroundings was really pleasant. Five stars.

Both Carole and I had the scrumptious Bombollini with curd, fresh fruit and whipped ricotta Husband enjoyed his bacon & egg roll with housemade Hash brown. Can't wait to return!! Staff were welcoming and excellent!! All while enjoying a cool breeze and watching the activities on the Hastings River.

Started my morning at this gorgeous spot and wow — the ocean view alone is worth waking up early for! Such calm, cozy, chill vibes… exactly what you want for a perfect holiday breakfast. The team here is super lovely, and the food? Chef’s kiss. We kicked things off with a cappuccino and a caramel latte, then went sweet-and-savory with their Cinnamon Bombolini and the Roasted Mushroom breakkie topped with a perfectly cooked egg. Heaven. Honestly, we had such a wonderful breakfast here on our trip — already planning to swing back and try their lunch menu on our way home!

Absolutely a must. Amazing coffee, views and food. I had the Korean short rib breakfast and it was just a banger. Coffee was a strong delicious flavour, really well made, loved it.

Would definitely recommend and we are already planning our next catch up at Banks for lunch! Great vibe, awesome location and the prawn and kimchi fritters were incredible! Dinner visit. Right on the river your table looks out over water virtually wherever you’re seated. With a light and breezy interior, a delicious menu (yet short enough and simple yet sophisticated enough that decision making is effortless for any patron), knowledgeable friendly waitstaff you’d think have been trained in a high end Melbourne restaurant, intimate space yet tables spaced enough for talks. The sort of place to have a very special dinner for two or a catch up with friends. It serves both. Food was absolutely spot on. Normally not a fan of heat in a dish yet ordered two with chilli. The heat was so subtle. The kitchen knows what they’re doing. Cannot fault this place. I’m not the only fan. Booking is advised. Go now!
